Used pretty heavily over the past few weeks. No problems yet. I'm not a aficionado, though, so you may want to look for someone more experienced.
I bought this for my 15 year old grandson, who wants to listen to his Dad's "old records"(that's what we called them). Took it out of the box, set it up, and it wouldn't work. The $79. turntable required "accessories" and speakers and whatever else added up to an additional $200.+.
I would recommend this to anyone who needs a great turntable. I had this unit for over 10 years or more. I am a music freak I have hundreds of albums. My unit is still going strong. I play albums alot and had NO trouble what so ever. Had to replace the needle a few months ago. It has it's own preamp that means it easy to use just find an aux input on the back or sometime the front on the stereo (The red and white plugs) and your done. Agin this is a great turntable.
Make sure you put it up before you play a record. I got my ps-lx250h a few days ago and I love it. Overall a great player, sound quality is excellent. It is exactly what I expected it to be. There is even a stylus guard. I see myself as a handy/diy person but even I thought it was a good idea to read the instructions. Five stars, no doubt.
I want a way to make tapes from my albums so I can play them in my truck. I'm glad I bought this turntable for my stereo. I'm replacing my 1980 Technics turntable with cracked cover and rotted belt. It sounds great and looks good too. What more could you ask for.
